Transitioning your beauty routine from summer to fall
Look hot in the cold! Scoring soft, smooth skin gets harder this time of year. Here's how to inspired fire emojis even when it's freezing.
Prep for the colder months ahead
Ease your way into a beauty-fall routine. As the season begins to change, it's time to slowly swap out your summer serums for fall favorites. The first serum we like to incorporate into our routine, Super Nova Serum. This retinol based serum contains 0.25% retinol which can be strong for some skin types. Joanna recommends alternating between Super Nova Serum and Rescue Serum a Vitamin C based serum. These two types of products are key for healthy, glowing skin. And remember to never use together, as they cancel each other out and only apply retinol based serums in your PM regimen.
Restore and repair from a summer in the sun
Skin-sloughing is simply the best way to treat dry, parched, flaky skin and to stimulate natural oil production. As the season changes round mid-September, it's a great time to introduce your face and body to a gentle scrub once or twice a week. For the face, we like using our Exfoliating Mask once a week to wash away dead skin cells, unclog pores and remove impurities. Leave on up to 15 minutes or use as a spot treatment to target pesky blemishes. For your body, dry brushing is one of the easiest ways to help improve overall tone and texture of the skin. Begin at the bottom of your feet and work your way up to the chest using long sweeping motions before hoping in the shower. Joanna recommends using her Ritual Brush two to three times a week.
