Introducing our NEW Thai Massage
Step into Zen with the new Thai Massage treatment at Joanna Vargas New York.
Our newest massage features techniques from ancient Thai rituals that will revive and rejuvenate the body and mind.
Also known as "Nuad Boran," this healing therapy has been handed down through the generations in Thailand for over 2500 years.
Our specially trained massage therapists will use their hands, elbows, arms and feet to channel energy lines, releasing tension and bound fascia. The massage is performed with slow movements and covers the entire body. "Sen" energy lines are pressed and kneaded, while the therapy continues with passive stretching followed by a soothing head, neck and shoulder massage. This treatment energizers, rejuvenates and increases blood circulation.
Joanna was inspired by these ancient rituals to bring the massage to her namesake salon in New York. She worked with trained therapist to craft this service, ensuring slow stretching was integrated into the massage to manipulate muscles and joints in soothing movements. Additionally, traditional massage movements are also integrated for relaxation, a key element for all of Joanna's spa services.
This massage is perfect for those who need relief from tension, stiffness from sitting at desks all day, or anyone experiencing muscle soreness from workouts.
Unlike other massages offered at Joanna Vargas, during the Thai Massage we recommend wearing loose clothing, like tank tops, yoga pants or sweatpants, to allow your body (including your arms and legs) to move into deeper stretching positions.
Choose from 60, 90, or 120 minutes!
