Skin Care Resolutions That Will Make 2017 Your Best Year Yet
Admittedly, for some 2016 hasn't been the best year. We have seen the passing of some of our most beloved celebrities. American politics are in complete turmoil, and climate warming is a real thing, a bit stressful if you ask me. However, this chill song and it's lyrics come to mind, "Don't Worry, Be Happy". Luckily, a brand new year brings with it hope and new opportunities are just around the corner. And in order to be ready for them, we want to help all of our loyal clients put their best faces forward - literally. Since the new year is here, it is time for resolutions large and small. We would like to share some of our favorite skin care tips to carry you into 2017. Beauty is something we all possess, it's true: However, learning to tend to ourselves and put ourselves first is a facet of beauty that everyone has to learn. That said, here are some of our favorite skin care resolutions for the New Year. Always Wear Sunscreen. There's simply no way to get around this simple skin care truth: If you're going out of the house in the light of day, you should always, always wear sunscreen. Joanna Vargas' Daily Hydrating Cream is a moisturizer that contains a mineral sunblock that should suit your basic day-to-day SPF needs, but make sure to stock up on a higher-strength formula if you're going to be exposed to harsher rays. Think of it this way: In 2017, you simply have no more excuse not to wear sunscreen. Get Regular Facials. Yes, sometimes it's hard to carve out the time to take for yourself. Sure, sometimes the expense seems like something you can't spare. However, you see a dentist regularly for your teeth, and a stylist regularly for your hair - why should your skin be any different? Simply put, getting regular facials helps your skin reset and recalibrate, and your aesthetician can help you determine how to address any skin care concerns you might have. Eat Well. We've all heard about weight loss and fitness resolutions, but that's not our motivation for maintaining a healthy diet. No, our main concern is your skin: If you don't nourish your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs, the first place you see it as your skin. Why not incorporate some healthier choices on your plate and allow the results to show up on your face? Incorporate at least eight, eight-ounce glasses, of water into that meal plan, and through out the day and your skin will be positively glowing, all the way through 2017. Add a Variety of Products to Your Skincare Routine. Although, I have my staple set of products, my own, I'm one to switch things up whenever I feel I need something extra. This kind of experimentation keeps my skin lively. Your skin is a living organ and sometimes your skin can crave a bit more hydration, a serum that works best at night etc. A skincare expert can know what is best for your skin on a moments notice. This is why I recommend you see one monthly. They can help give you that extra step in your routine that might make your skin sign. For example take the time to indulge in a restorative mask. Your skin will do nothing but thank you. Don't Get Discouraged About Your Skin. There's simply no reason to stress about the skin care problems you think you have (or the ones you actually have). As with most things in life, the power of achieving good skin lies with you. Instead, make 2017 the year of being proactive about your skin care. This can mean drinking more water, eating more vegetables, exercise or availing yourself of new treatments, and best of all loving who you are and those around you. Staying positive can create miracles for yourself and your skin.]>>
