The Secret To Smooth Skin

Smooth, healthy skin requires internal and external care. The facts are: proper cleansing and moisturizing are vital and equally important is your diet. Establishing a few basics steps can give you the skin you always wanted, healthy, smooth and eternally glowing.

These basics are both preventative and anti-aging measures and will keep your skin from becoming rough and flaky in the first place.

Restore Dry & Flaky Skin To Smooth And Glowing

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliating removes the surface layer of dead skin to reveal fresh and glowing skin. There are many exfoliating cleansers on the market that contain gentle abrasives such as volcanic ash in my Exfoliating Mask. Also your body is need regular exfoliation and some of these natural and gentle agents are, salt and sugar scrubs.

MOISTURIZE

Proper moisturizing with lotions, creams or oils can help restore dry, flaky skin. Common ingredients include Argan Oil, olive oil, glycerin, aloe and cocoa or shea butters.

Use a facial moisturizer containing sunscreen and antioxidants to protect your skin from the damage caused by free radicals and ultraviolet rays.

HYDRATE

Drinking plenty of water will keep your skin moisturized from the inside out. The recommended amount is eight 8 oz of water a day. However, drink more if you feel thirsty as this is a very good sign that your internal organs are in need of a shot of water.

HEALTHY DIET

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats contains vitamins and minerals important for keeping your skin looking its best.

Antioxidant-rich foods include leafy green vegetables, like spinach and kale; orange vegetables, such as carrots and squash; tomatoes; beans; nuts and blueberries. You also want to avoid highly processed foods, high in fats and carbs as they can be the cause of your aging skin.

PREVENTING DRY SKIN

During the winter your skin can become dry and flaky due to excessive heating, cold winter temperatures and dry air. Additionally, hot showers and baths can strip the natural oils of your skin, eliminating the natural protection you skin’s oil provides.

Moisturizing your face and body daily are a must if you want to keep your skin glowing.

Remember that healthy skin is not hard to achieve but it will require a small amount of time on your part. Regular facials is a part of it but how you maintain those benefits is by having a regular skincare routine at home. This can be a total of five minutes a day in some cases but use only quality skin care products.
