How to Grow Eyelashes And Eyebrows Naturally
I sadly do not have the long and beautiful eyelashes that my daughter Ruby has and I have long since accepted this fact. However, this does not mean I’ve given up, and to this day I do my best to grow them and give it the old college try.
There is no magical spell that will grow your eyelashes but I will give you some natural ways to make improvements to what Mother Nature gave you.
The thing to remember is that eyelashes and eyebrows can take a long time to grow. So be patient. For some people it might only take six weeks, but others may have to wait several months.
The first thing to know is that eating nourishing foods will stimulate hair growth. Another noteworthy fact is that anything which makes hair grow will most likely make nails and skin grow too. This is an added benefit and you’ll be killing three birds with one stone.
Also, the reverse is true too. Having a low protein diet will affect all of the above since protein is necessary for tissue repair and for the construction of new hair, nails and skin.
To recap. Eat plenty of proteins in various forms. I say the latter as I don’t like to eat too much red meat. I enjoy different foods, like fish, chicken and even vegetable proteins. Also, Vitamins and minerals help like B vitamin, iron, zinc, and omega 3’s.
Olive Oil And Vitamin E
I actually swear by this tip on how to make your eyelashes grow. It really works! Dip a Q-Tip in olive oil and carefully glide it over your eyelashes and eyebrows at night time. You can also do the same thing with vitamin E. Doing either of these steps will help your eyelashes soak up directly the nutrients from the olive oil and vitamin E.
The Skin, Hair and Nail Vitamin
Wholefoods sales it and many other health food stores have it in stock for you to just come and pick it up. Biotin is known as the hair, nail and skin vitamin and many people swear by it. Some report that your hair can grow incredibly fast and you can see a noticeable difference in your eyelashes within 3 months.
LED Light Therapy has also been use for the benefit of hair growth and is actually an FDA approved therapy. This is because light stimulates blood and oxygen flow to all parts of the skin, including hair follicles and cells. Perhaps, I drawing a longbow here but I think this can also benefit the eyelashes.
Fresh, clear skin, just like long eyelashes are a universal symbol of beauty. And regardless of what cards you’ve been dealt you can generally improve them. And even if you got them, you can keep them healthier by following some of the suggestions I mentioned.
I hope this has giving you some hope that something can be done about growing lashes.
