Green Tea Bath & Silky Skin
Baths have certain benefits and the ancient civilizations of Rome and Greece knew this. They were valued not only for hygiene and relaxation but also for their restorative and therapeutic benefits.
Before you feel guilty about taking a leisurely soak, think about the benefits of silky smooth skin this summer and relaxing after a long day.
Green Tea Bath And Your Well-Being
Green Tea is known for its high antioxidant content, reversing cell damage, its detoxifying properties, and for a wide range of health benefits. So it’s no surprise that the Japanese use it for taking baths.
Next time you make time to have a bath, try this recipe at home.
Take 10 organic green tea bags and add them to very hot bath water, letting the tea bags steep for at least 10 to 15 minutes until the water changes color. Once the water is the appropriate color and temperature, climb in!
I also like to add two lemons sliced into rounds. Its not only pretty but they smell good and are a great source of antioxidants that help brighten the skin.
For tired eyes: use two of your tea bags, wet and cool enough, and place them on your eyelids to soothe and refresh.
Chilled peeled cucumber slices work well too.
When you have had enough chill time, jump into the shower. Your skin is fully prepared to use a body scrub to exfoliate dead skin and remove any lingering toxins that were released by the green tea bath.
The last step to achieve glowing, silky skin? End off with a full body moisturizer to soothe, hydrate and to heal your skin.
Your skin will feel invigorated and refreshed.
