Anyone dealing with this issue I normally recommend that they see a nutritionist in conjunction with a skincare routine.
I have found that eating tons of vegetables can help improve the situation if not dramatically reduce the condition.
Another aspect that can help resolve the situation, for any skincare issue, is consistency. One thing that I have experienced myself is that the client is not consistently applying the solution that has been prescribed. This can of course make it seem that it does not work or that it gives unpredictable results.
Any solution proposed by a dermatologist or skincare professional should be done to the letter and only in this way can you truly know if it works or not. Any problem or difficulty normally yields to the right solution and the discipline and practice of its application. And that is the secret to amazing skin.

Source: The New Potato
is getting a ton of buzz on the beauty scene. We've seen it everywhere from sheet masks to toothpaste. If you're anything like us, you're probably wondering if it's worth all the hype. We consulted celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas for the best ways to use activated charcoal, and she told us all we need to know about this miracle product. It's official: activated charcoal is our hot potato. Read below for her tips and a DIY face mask that will detox and soothe your skin at the same time....
"It's very strong, so it can be too drying for people who don't need it. Only use if you have have very oily or very clogged skin!"
"Charcoal holds 1,000 times its weight in toxins, so it has the ability to pull impurities from the skin as well as an all over detox; try it in a pull-off mask on your nose (like this Boscia peeling mask) for maximum effectiveness."
"I would include it in a mask with yogurt and honey. This combination will soak up excess oil and dirt to detox while providing hydration, anti-bacterial properties and soothing the skin."
Charcoal & Clay Detox Mask:
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp yogurt
½ teaspoon of bentonite clay
1 tsp activated charcoal
Apply the mask evenly, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 10 minutes and remove with a warm damp cloth.
An Easy DIY Face Mask For Acne
Source: The New Potato
Is your skin thrown by the erratic in-between season weather we've been having? One day it's sunny and sixty, the next it's raining, the next we're stuck in a polar vortex. Our skin is rebelling in a big way, with random acne on our cheeks and chin; we thought that ended with high school, but obviously we were wrong. We need a quick, lasting fix to get rid of those pesky breakouts. That's where celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas comes in. She gave us this DIY skin mask to treat acne. Unlike the treatments of your youth, this one is both anti-bacterial and soothing, meaning you'll get rid of any acne without ripping apart your skin. See the full recipe below; trust us, it's a godsend.
¼ cup yogurt
3 tbsp aloe
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp almond meal
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Apply to the skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth.
Yogurt and aloe are both anti-bacterial, and have skin-soothing benefits. The yogurt has lactic acid which will help exfoliate the skin and dry the breakout. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which has natural antibacterial properties. Almond meal is a gentle exfoliant which helps remove the dead skin cells. All of these ingredients together will help to combat acne, and also leave your skin super hydrated.

The Miracle Bar
is an amazing product that can detox and also help you eliminate acne, face and body. This is the only soap I can recommend that is equally good for your beautiful face as well as your body.
This an activated charcoal soap that is perfectly balance with moisturizers such as Shea Butter and olive oil. This is because charcoal can be too drying due to its ability to draws out toxins, dirt and oil, leaving the skin too dry. This would create another set of problems if left unchecked.
However, I don't want you to think that acne or oily skin is the only thing this bar of soap is good for. Use it all over for a clean feeling and soft skin.
