Angelina Jolie's Secret Skin Care Routine
A trip to a skin care professional can open up a variety of treatment options, some invasive and some not. The NOT part depends on the practitioner’s philosophy and what they employ to achieve results.
Invasive skincare treatments work under the same principle – injuring the skin to trigger it’s healing mechanism. The degree of the injury warrants a response from the skin in order to heal itself.
This is true of lasers, chemical peels and of this medieval torture device, called the “dermal roller”.
The latter is rumored to be Angelina Jolie’s secret to radiant and youthful skin. Here is an article on the derma roller and Angelina Jolie so you can read it for yourself.

I’m still not over the way Angelina Jolie looked at Cannes. The wavy hair, the full lips, but most notably, her radiant skin.
Her cheeks looked plump and highlighted, and her entire complexion glowed. It was a refreshing departure from the serious, matte look she usually opts for.
I wrote it off to makeup artist Mary Burton’s handiwork, but a source told Grazia that something much more sinister sounding was behind it: A dermal roller.
This frightening-looking tool resembles a very small paint roller, only it’s covered in tiny steel spikes. These devices are widely available from a number of different manufacturers, for both in-office and at-home use, but their appearance and aim is basically the same.
When rolled against the skin, it leaves thousands of itty bitty pricks, causing trauma to the dermis, thus stimulating the repair process and consequentially boosting collagen production (preventing that old, thinned skin look).
The professional treatment is also said to get rid of that orange-peel look to the skin that zero celebrities seem to have. Oh, and it helps your products penetrate more deeply.
The source told Grazia that Angie has been using the tool for six months, on and off, to avoid plastic surgery. It’s also rumored that Brad Pitt has undergone similar treatments to get rid of acne scars.
Though only Angelina (and possibly, her dermatologist) knows for sure whether or not this cruel-sounding tool is behind her new glow, the jury is out on the at-home versions…

Although the above treatment can be a way to achieve youthful, radiant skin, I believe that there are gentler ways to achieve the same result, i.e., microcurrent facials and LED light therapy to name a few.
